Favorite things from July 2023

I cannot believe hazy summer days are coming to an end. July is always a crazy month for me. July is my birthday month. It's warm and sunny. Bright and family oriented. July is reading on the deck and eating watermelon. I do love July so I'm sad to see it go but oh my gosh, guys, I am so excited for August. *Alexa, play August by Taylor Swift

I've been playing Far Cry 6 on Xbox which has the usual storyline of a Far Cry game, but I am enjoying the gameplay. It takes place on a fictional island called Yara that's going through a revolution of sorts during the country's recent dictator takeover. You play Dani, a fierce, independent, ex-soldier, and join forces with those on the island that rightfully want to take back their home.

I've been mourning my trip to Italy, so I've been watching walking tours on YouTube (I like this one of Florence a lot).

Of course, I've been listening to an audiobook. Right now it's House in the Cerulean Sea by TJ Klune and I am loving it. So far we've got adult comedy, fairies, and magical children. It's not my usual brand but it's been fun thus far. I haven't quite gotten halfway but you can follow my reading journey on Goodreads.

I listened to another audiobook this month, Paris: The Memoir by Paris Hilton. I will tell everyone: this is a great memoir. You don't have to like Paris Hilton or her y2k energy to enjoy this book. It was heartfelt, conflicting, and sad, but also happy. She tells her story of abuse, her upbringing, her family legacy, and her career thus far. She really is the ultimate businesswoman. The only thing left to say about this book is, that's hot.

This is the music I've had on repeat for the last six months.

I recently changed my skincare routine, which my skin always loves. I had been using a random assortment of products that I have loved previously but I wanted to use up and needed a change. I decided to go with Paula's Choice and I. Am. Obsessed. Dramatic, but I really do love these products. I picked up her reusable cotton rounds, too. Truly skin-changing.

I enjoyed reading this article in the Wall Street Journal.

The only shoe I wear all summer... Birkenstocks. I don't want to be a broken record, but if you haven't already, try on some of these.

The only TV I've been watching- The Kardashians on Hulu. I can't keep up.

What did you do this July?
